Experience
A 2001 graduate of the world-renowned Swedish Institute in New York with an Associate's degree in Massage therapy,
Mark received his training in the heart of Manhattan. After graduating, he practiced massage at his own private practice and at numerous top spas and gyms in New York, including Frédéric Fekkai, Skincare Lab and the Spa at Chelsea Piers, where he developed a genius for effective deep-tissue therapy by working with clients who ranged from stressed-out Wallstreet executives to professional athletes. He specializes in a profoundly de-stressing, profoundly comforting style that aims not only to alleviate the deepest knots and kinks, but also to improve each clients' emotional and spiritual well-being. After practicing for 7 years in New York he moved to San Francisco, where he's spent the last 3 years delighting a west coast clientele with his results-oriented east coast sensibility.
Massage is my passion.
Practicing massage brings comfort, enjoyment and release to the people I touch. I can't fully express my gratitude for finding a profession that allows me to spend my days bringing positivity into the lives of others. That said, while I do bring a holistic, spiritual approach to my massage, my work is absolutely results-oriented. It's essential to me that my clients leave feeling more comfortable in their bodies than they were when they arrived. I take pride in getting to know each person I work on so that I'm able to meet their needs as precisely as possible, and it's a key component of my practice that every massage I give is individually customized, using a mix of Swedish, shiatsu, deep tissue, stretching and hot stones. My ultimate joy is using the art of massage to make people feel more comfortable, more at peace, and more whole.
